I just got my Pineapple large streetport in, and everything hooked up and ready to go. It takes a little bit of gas to fire her up, but for a rebuild, it starts pretty easily. She runs pretty nicely, except that she doesn't hold idle. I suspect a vacuum leak. It's a S4 13BT, with completely removed emissions and a few other things (catch can, cold start-up, OMP, TB mod), and the TPS is set correctly. With the emissions removed, I have one vacuum line running from the port between the two oil injectors on the LIM to the UIM right after the TB (I have it running into the bottom-most port on the UIM, although I'm not sure exactly which one it originally went to), and one running from the FPR to where it should be going (not sure offhand where it goes, but I'm sure it's where it needs to be). Everything else is capped. I removed the OMP and I'm running premix, so I capped the vacuum ports on top of the oil injectors and I closed up the oil inlets with JB weld. Also, where the vacuum spider screws onto the LIM, I covered up the openings with steel putty and JB weld (left over from the TB mod). The oil system vent right at the base of the oil filler neck currently has a hose running from it downward and emptying out beneath the car. It originally went to the catch can, and this set-up is just temporary until I install another sort of catch can for it (and the fuel tank vent, which is open vented by the driver's side of the firewall). The little port the juts off the side of the oil filler neck at the top is capped. The one area where I'm really confused is over by the BOV and Boost sensor. Right now, I have a vacuum line running from the small port on top of the BOV to the port at the base of the UIM, and another vacuum line running from the boost sensor to my mechanical GReddy boost guage, which doesn't seem to be working. The stock boost guage does function, however. I'm not sure how those vacuum lines were set up before, and I'm not sure they're set up correctly right now. Also, the large port off of the aluminum BOV tube that originally went to the BAC is capped and clamped with a very lage vacuum cap, lol. The BAC is removed.

That's basically how I've set up the vacuum lines on the motor. If there's any part of how I've set things up that would cause the motor to not hold idle, or cause any other unforseen problems, please let me know. I'd also like to know how to get my boost guage to function. Thanks! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

In case there's no a vacuum leak? Do you have a/f meter, what is it saying? Or get voltmeter and take a reading. With the large street you could be needing more fuel to stay alive.

Check that there is no leak or crack on the turbo inlet duct and the acv plate.

---Uncap the vacuum port near the oil filler tube, thats for the "crankcase"

--- So you have a vacuum line from the boost guage running straigh to the pressure sensor, or you have it T'd into the pressure sensor's vacuum source? It should have a dedicated source. No T'ing... Just run the boost guage to a vac port past the tb, so it can see vacuum and idle. Same with the pressure sensor. None of the vacuum ports near the tb see both pos/neg pressure, only one and that one is a larger one facing the front bumper, which went to the oil injectors..

spray around the engine with something flamable, might have missed something

did you use new fuel injector grommets.... those things can cause a vacuum leak too!

here is a very silly question , did you put the lower intake manifold gasket between the engine and manifold on backwards? that gasket only goes on one way but i have seen it put on backwards a few times wich creats a vacum leak because it gets sucked into the motor. i have seen this 3 times in the dealership on t2s and 6 port motors. if u have acces to a hydrogen smoker that is ur best shot at figureing out if and where ur leak is or if you just need more fuel. also what flywheel are you using if its a very light aluminum unit with the large port that also might be ading to ur problem. **** my problem is i cannot get my car to idle under 2200rpm lol so ya anyways good luck
