Okay, aside from the horrable cold start problems and the stubborn driver window, i love my car. However, a new problem has developed. It seems whenever i take a hard left turn, say to do a u-turn or through the parking garages, my engine cuts out like i'm running out of fuel. i thought it was because i was low on gas, but after i filled it up, it still did it just tonight.
Any ideas. I figure its another problem i will give to my mechanic over the Christmas break. |
i've heard of this before and i think it has something to do with the fuel pump. maybe a sensor on it or something, but 2 people i know had the same problem when turning hard...someone on here must know what i'm talking about...

help this guy pleez ! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png sounds like a loose wire in/on the fuel pump or a broken fuel pump pickup
|
i would think its a bad wire somewhere. when it does it does it start right back up? does the engine die and everything else stay on?

I have a friend with an mx6, and everytime he turns hard his car will shut off. We took it to a guy i know who has a mazda shop. I forgot exactly what he said the problem was, but it wasnt loose wires. I would have to ask him again. I have to run up to his shop later today, so i'll ask him.

sidewinder did ya find out yet ? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
this happened to me once or twice in my gxl last summer, under really hard turns, it would cut for just a moment then come back strong after the cornering g's were down... I assumed it was a loose wire somewhere and it only happened twice. |
