its not the power, its the filtering, and who paid for the testing. look at the bottom of the link, apexi did the testing. they win, thier biggest competition is hks, which loses

i read it, then read it again. where does it say "apex'i did the testing" ?

I don't see it anywhere either https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

Important Notes regarding the comparison:

- Extracts of this article have been transcribed from a Japanese article featured in Revspeed Magazine, August 1999.

- The original test was based upon the results found when using filters specifically made to fit the Toyota Supra. However, the filtration is unlikely to differ, as all the filtration materials used are the same for every model of car.

- The cost given for the filters are based on a the kit for an R33 Skyline GTR, except the K & N kit which only currently exists for a Skyline GTS, and are inclusive of VAT.

A filter is a filter. Theyre all gonna pretty much do the same thing and if it doesn't filter everything owell. Thats what your turbo is for.

Like j9fd3s said if you can figure out the brackets you could have it done in 30 mins...i did.The instructions come in japanize unfortunately which totaly sucks but you can go by the numbers of the parts and the pics they show.If you get it you would need just some sockets and wrenches and 2 hose clamps. You think apex'i would include the 2 cheap ass hose clamps but they don't.

How do you know a filters just a filter, have you done testing yourself?

Yeah they all do the same thing but some are better than others.

And if it doesn't filter everything owell that's what your turbo is for u say...geeez

Dramon_Killer 05-27-2004 10:35 PM

Lol, yeah more or less.

I see people running open turbos, so i just kinda figure; if my car at least has a semi-filter, i'm ahead of those guys anyways.

RevRex-7 05-28-2004 12:35 AM
