Hi, i'm from Chile, South America.
A year ago my mechanic and I started a full TII conversion, the car was originally a s4 base model, we installed a s5 1991 jspec tII engine, with s4 tII transmit ion, s4 tII driveshaft, lsd, brakes, etc... www.cardomain.com/id/muffet for pics... Well, I have a problem. The car is totally stock (hks supermegaflow and i’m planning a turbo back 3" exhaust system, no cats), and I have the opportunity of buying an s5 ecu, modd by GRID (nice Japanese company that modifies electrical parts of Japanese cars). The ecu is designed for stock internals, changes fuel curves, eliminate the fuel cut, allows you to rev the car to 8500rmp (i’m not planning of doing that with stock internals), etc.... I don’t have much more information about the ecu, but because of the price I think that i’m going to buy it anyways... So, finally, my question is: How can I test the ecu without hurting the engine? My plan is going to a dyno to test it (wideband and stuff), but I don’t know.... Any ideas? thanks nice forum, sorry for mi english... |
wide badn test would be the only way, start out really light on the throttle, then a lil more lil more, just making sure everything fuel wise is in "check" at least thats what id do to test it

so, just been really carefully with wideband?
