Hi all,

Got a quote today from a couple of guys I know with an indepentent shop. $3100 for a new engine w/ 3 yr. warranty and 1 yr. labor. Told 'em go ahead. That doesn't include fixing whatever injectors are leaking and a new clutch if need be. Still bummed about the $$$$, but I'm be happy to be keeping the car.

At least I don't have to worry about the engine for a long time. I've actually been a little paranoid about the engine since I got it- I think from reading the other posts on here! These rotaries seem touchy anymore.

P.S. The dealer wanted $3750 for the same deal.

3 year warranty may be worth the money but that sounds pricey to me, you can find turbo 7's for that price

but then again no warranty
