New to the 7's
#1
I'm looking to purchase a 1986 RX7. It has power everything, but needs an engine rebuild. I can get one done for 450 american. Is it worth my time?
A few more Questions....
Do Rx7's have redlines? If not, when do they stop pulling?
Whats the top speed for a stock 5 speed 86 rx7 (naturaully aspired)
Do Rx7's have posi's/lsd's (limited slip differentials)
and finally, what cars can they hang with stock?

if you can a rebuild for $450 that is VERY cheap....
rotaries have redlines. they are clearance only so far...... if you rev a stock engine to 20k rpm the rotors will start hitting the housings, etc ,etc
a 5 speed n/a can go about 135-140mph top speed
certain models came with LSD . are you in canada. if so its a little different.
N/A's are not fast by any means.... they handle well, stop well, a hooked up civic could beat a N/A rx7. if your looking for speed go for a Turbo II...
