Ok guys, somehwere back in time some idiot decided to cut the plugs off my Stereo harness in the TII. If anybody could give me a breakdown of the wires and where they are headed I would appreciate it, the car had the factory premium sound installed and was in the back of the car, but I am installing my Kenwood head unit and I don;t have the plugs to order a re-wire kit. Even a scan of the factory wiring would be fine, or a link to the specific page in the FSM would work too.

if you have the wiring diagram its like the type 2 or 3 system. basically it goes like this.
1 single spade : 12v battery or 12v switched 3 pin connector: 1 pin is the one the single wire isnt (12v or switched 12v), one of the others is the lights, the 3rd i think is the antenna theres 2 4 pin plugs for the speakers. the rear should go directly, so you just have to test em. they are kinda color coded but i dont remember how. the front goes to the amp, so its best to run your own, because the amp needs to be powered and its prolly broken, and its heavy |
Yeah...*definitly* remove the factory AMP and run your own wires...itll save you a headache and alot of time.

agreed, running a aftermarket amp greatly simplifies things
and it allows you to run new wiring as well just remember to put the relay in the antennea so it works right |
Blue with red stripe is constant +12VDC.
Blue with white stripe is switched +12VDC. Blue with yellow stripe is antenna - need switched ground signal. -Ted |
Thanks, looks like I need to run my own speaker wires, found them clipped as well, in more than one place...some peoples kids...
