Hey all,

Does anyone have any photos of TII's from last seasons 7 fest in Cali?

I'm looking for a TII hood that the scoop tray was removed then cut out around the tray leaving it open.....anyone know of this?

if you can help, email me@ bkapold@aol.com

Thanks

Not exactly, but I like yours......The scoop I saw had the scoop tray that bolts to the hood removed and then the under portion ( or hood) was neatly cut out leaving a large hole on top, and the under side of the hood was cut out way back , kinda like yours underneath.....Not really sure how much it will help anything being I have a FMIC, but I'm painting my car this week and thought I'd do something different.....My main consern is hood flutter at faster speeds.....What do you think? and have you seen the hood I'm trying to explain??

no and kinda, but the hood is up a little at the back so the back moves a bit cause there nothing supporting it

thats kinda what I was thinking to....I always wanted to cut a reverse scoop too for the radiator, but its alot of work https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

My neighbor runs the huge custom body shop up here in Minneapolis, MN and were painting my 91 TII Vette silver, can't wait!!! We stripped everything off the car so its getting re-finished the right way......

He wants to cut out the scoop like yours (kinda) but leave enough to bolt the tray back in for support, then mold it into the hood so there is no seem......thats sounds pretty cool too........ Thanks for you help though

that would be cool, if you want to make it more solid, get some caulk and seal the inner structure to the hood skin
