On Wednesday night my check engine light came on, so I decided that I should take it to the shop. They called me back and told me that codes 1 and 11 came back on the diagnostic. After checking out the parts they found out that my trailing coil and intake air thermosnesor were both bad and needed to be replaced. They want $782.65 for the coil and $990.20 for the AFM. Ouch I said!! They said yeah these aren't cheap parts. So here is my question to you guys. Can someone tall me where I can get these parts for less brand new? Thanks.

any trailing coil is the same for an fc. they hardly ever go bad.

the afms do go bad once an awhile, mazdatrix might be a goood place to start

I have a used trailing arm in great shape, make me an offer

Sorry I forgot to mention that I already checked with them and they have the coiler for $600.47, but no AFM. I'm still looking to go cheaper if possible. I thinking that this is going to cost about $1900 with labor. I'm trying to get it lower than that.

Well I've decided to go ahead and get the parts from the shop because I realized that there isn't a shop out there that offers these parts new for a lower price. Thanks for the help. Oh btw the total price with labor is $2030.

which is a ridiculous waste of money

with that money you could get a haltech and throw away your afm.

I thought about that also, but I can't get the car somewhere it can be install and tuned. Also the cost of tuning combined with the cost of the Haltech and coil would be more than the cost of this. Correct me if I'm wrong. If that is cheaper I might just go that way.

Well I just got done talking to Steve at Gotham racing. He thinks he might be able to get me a Haltech E6K ( including all parts needed), MSD Blaster coils, and an HKS twin power ignition amplifire and install it for lees than the cost of these OEM parts and the labor to install them.

i think the 'right' choice is pretty obvious https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
