okay so i finished gutting my car today, and after it all was done i figured i could start to remove my bushing on my front control arm. i have a set of poly bushings that i will be putting in my car in about 14 hours, so i need help BAD.
the bushing that i am trying to cut off is the front contol arm bushing that attached itself to the chassis. it looks like a D. i started to cut it with a razor blade, and it kinda felt that it wasnt going all the way to the bar that the new bushing is supposed to press onto. so i cut off a big chuck, and now i find that there is a sleeve there. so the smart people at mazda thought it would be a good idea to put a bushing, then a sleve of metal, then another bushing on the front control arm... my question is, how the hell do i remove that frikken bushing? do i have to sawzaw it off? it isnt like a normal bushing that i can just press out, and i am way confused. here is a picture of the bushign that i am talking about https://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/cntlarm.jpg |
Try burning it off with a torch.
