A couple of weeks ago I had a Haltech installed. Because we were rushed it only got rough tuned. It runs extremely rich and I was warned not to boost it at all. The car made it home fine. It drove ok for about 2 weeks and now it is acting like it is running on one rotor. Could this be caused by fouled plugs or carbon build up from running extremely rich. Please help me because the car ran fine before this mod and there shouldn't be any reason why my motor would be dead. BTW I never boosted the car during this time. I have done somewhat of a compression check. I took out a plug and listened for the three loud swooshes of air from each rotor. Both rotors sounded the same. They both sounded like they had good compression. I'm going to change the plugs tonight and see what happens. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

yeah it could be fouled plugs. ive managed to foul a couple

did you look at the plugs while you were doing the compression check?
|
Could be fouled plugs, trailing and leading plugs mixed up, or really really bad timing.

i'm leaning toward fouled plugs

haha, yea thats a good idea

I don't think you want to see my map right now. You guys would probably laugh at it because it's running so rich. I changed my plugs tonight and it helped some but I think the timing needs more adjustment and the fuel map needs to be leaned out some more. Thanks for the help guys. One more question. Does anybody here know of someone in my area that could possibly show up at my place with a flatbed trailer and tow my car to Fort Worth so that the tuning can be finished? I know this is a big request, but I'd be willing to pay for food and gas and some extra for the persons time. If so please reply to this post with there name and number and let them know(if you're not this person) that I'll be calling them.

put in new plugs and get some dyno time and redo the map. haltechs are big pains. AEM ECU or the Greddy e-mangment system are a better deal. haltech are a big pain https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Well people have told you about the fouled plugs and timing but what about your o2 sensor. Just trying to help but I think I have been gone for to long now to even try and help.
