What do you guys think the biggest fuel injector that you would put on a Non-Turbo

I didnt have time to change the fuel injectors, Still have 550's Primarys and 680 Secondarys

I have my S-AFC turn down right now. But when i try to Curse, Not on the gas but not off the gas, you no right in the middle, It makes a wead nosie like Puut Puut Puut, it is'ent a Rumber like normal. I think it is just getting to much fuel.

I was thinking about leaving the 550 primarys and put the 450's (Stock NA) on the Secondarys

I will still have the S-AFC in the car untill i get my 87 Turbo II running.

stock injectors

you'd want to make the secondaries bigger, with the primaries the smaller..the seconds kick in around 3500-4k rpm, and if you're just cruising, you're running hella rich with big honkin injectors as the primaries

How much can you change the injectors with the stock computer?

ambassador_josh 04-29-2004 01:00 AM

They flow at the same rate, but when you increase the size, they flow at the same rate at the bigger size...it's like turbo boost...when you increase the turbo size, your moving more air at the same boost level just because the physical size is greater...you'd need a piggyback comp (f-con, safc, etc) to change the flow

Unless your motor is a full out race motor, PP and all you wont need bigger injectors, unless you want to throw flames https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Unless your leaning out naturaly, you would need a af controler for anything bigger than say TII secondarys? correct me if im wrong guys.

As far as I know, the 550's will work but they won't do much for ya unless you have porting done. Even the stock 460's run rich. You can probably see more power by leaning out the stocks with your afc on a dyno.

max cooper has a better one, but his site appears to be down. I've heard 65% is the max inj duty the stock ecu will push..
