My tach is off by 800rpm or so when compared to tach reading from Microtech. Is there any way to fix this? Do I have to swap the gauge cluster out or something? If there is no fix, would installing an aftermarket tach solve the problem? Thanks in advance... :(

yeah have a similar problems with my fd....the oem tach reads about 300 rpms lower than the pfc....whats the deal?

thats the reason to go to an aftermarket tach, most factory tachs are not accurate and they lag behind the actual RPM. The inaccuracy increases the higher you rev too.

Gravity also has an affect on the gauges also. Mine is accurate untill it gets a little past 4000, then it just starts to fall. After 100K miles, things start to wear out and get loose. It just happens.
