I am building a sand dragster and it is currently vw powered. I have a 13b 6 port motor that i am going to put into it. Most of the race cars out there a V8 powered and heavy, my car is only about 550LB with the vw motor so i am guessing it may be about 700lb with the rotary. I will be asking lots of questions on here about how to make things work.

michael, I dont know if you still visit this post ? Anyway I too am building a rotary powered sand dragster, My car is a Frameworks built chassis and at one time was powered by a T-4 VW turbocharged on Alcohol! I too have a pair of 13b Mazda rotary's, one is a na 6 port w/ 4 barrel carb and msd ignition, and the other is a first gen 4 port w/ bridge port and a 650cfm Holley [ it needs new apex seals] My plan is to install the 6 port for starters so I can get the car up and running, and rebuild the 4 port w/ a turbo and run it on Methanol! I will check on this thread from time to time to see if you have visited. anyway if you read this drop me a line @ ripntear33@yahoo.com hope to here from you since we kind of have a mutual intrest! Rip.....
