So for those of you who know my yellow car got set back by my lack of funding for buying a new radiator (my fluidyne didnt take kindly to being in storage and sprung some leaks).



So I figured since I have to wait to get money together for a radiator I might as well get one that works better then what I had and better fits my needs (aka, no pass. outlet)



So yesterday I finalized my order for a custom radiator.



Decided to go with a crossflow rather then a downflow for a boost in cooling there, then I also decided to go with a 3" thick core as opposed to most typical "made to fit" ones available (fluidyne and koyos are about 2.25" thick)



Overall the core is going to be 20" H x 18.5" W x 3" D. After taking all the required measurements to make sure my oil cooler hoses and intercooler pipes would still fit I sent it in and they should begin to get it together ASAP. Can't wait to see it, so glad I'll finally have a driver's side outlet now. With the passenger side outlet it was really close to my t78 setup which I wasn't very happy about, but now I think I'll finally be happy enough to finish the car. Only thing I was disappointed in is with a crossflow I couldnt get the core wide enough to fit the fan shroud perfectly so I will have to modify it slightly but not enough to bother me.



After installing the rad all I have to do is add fluids, run all the Battery + connections (fuse blocks and ECU and body harness) and then hopefully just turn it on and go.



Did discover that my headlight switch apparently broke during these couple years of nonuse, as well as the sunroof which used to work nearly perfectly has now decided to do nothing. Didn't really look into it so it could be something simple but well im lazy.



Then with it running I then just have to weld up the exhaust drive it up to rob to touchup a few things and then get it tuned.

some people have a hard time keeping cool with thicker radiators, I know jim had an issue with that when he had some crazy radiator in his car, at speeds it was fine, but at lower speeds or idle it was struggling.

The airflow through the FMIC and the rad was too restrictive- make sure you have a super heavy duty electric fan and shroud

boy my turbo looks small, im going to have to do something about that!

just about every FC I buy that has been sitting has things that dont work that magically start working again once the car has a fresh battery and you work all the switches back and forth.

yep, fb's too. my friend let his gsl-se sit so long, the top half of the ring gear rusted, made an odd noise for a couple miles
