I remember eating a whole jar of FLUFF one drunken night in high school. As for a turbo drop top- its a bit more original I guess. You want super originality- a stock 3rd gen on its original motor! I think im going to be original, and build a old car!

Yeah, the turbo convertible is more unique. The coupe is actually pretty practical. Yeah, that's my excuse. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

Turbo drop in for coupes is the best way to go https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Also, you will actually be more practical w/ 600HP in a coupe then a vert.

I may start to need more space in my car. So the coupe would help with that.

Rotaryman88 07-06-2002 07:09 PM

So you figure the coupe can handle the extra weight up front do ya?

Yup, but I may just go with a 13B.

Rotaryman88 07-06-2002 07:31 PM

I want to try out some ideas.

Rotaryman88 07-06-2002 07:50 PM

I thought the belts for the accessories didn't hold much past 9K. You can always make them chain driven or electrical(like the MR2s, lol)...I heard that stock rotaries can go up to 18K before blowing up, it was just a matter of how you build it, and how well lubricated the motor stays...at least thats all hearsay, never seen it...

Some of the key parts are stationary gears and bearings, as well as rotor gear and bearings. Clearancing the rotors is also necessary.

UniqueTII 07-08-2002 08:39 AM

Dammit...I wanted to be the first one in the tri-state area to have a 10k+ redline on a daily driver. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Maybe I just have to stay in the midwest to be original.

13BAce 07-08-2002 09:00 AM

You could rev your current motor to 10K. It may blow up, but it will do it.

rota-re 07-08-2002 09:56 AM

One of my lecturers reckons that when he used to race on weekends there was a guy that raced with him that had a 10A runnin to 14k....
