what did you use for a mold, and how are you going to

attach it to the car?

nice to have a mold hanging around, lol

Just be sure to use epoxy resin thruout the whole project.

MaTT_FoULk 02-13-2003 11:41 PM

Why didn't you just go with a FC3S.org hood? Saving some money?

because i'm making it myself, and it is cheaper. Plus, i think i can do a better job myself. This way i can make sure its EXACTLY what i want. If you saw my car, you'd know what attention i pay to detail. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

FCmaniac 02-14-2003 05:01 AM

good job... are you guys thinking about selling those on here in the future?

FikseRxSeven 02-14-2003 07:05 AM

damn that looks like a lot of work

we'd need a hood to make the mold.

Danno 02-14-2003 01:21 PM

You list a topic on your hood but no pics?

Danno 02-14-2003 01:23 PM

Sorry I didn't let the page completly boot, so you do have a pic. What are you doing to the hood?

You can Yank one off a 74-77 Ford Courier, it is the same, minus the hinges.. and the holes for the Letters on the front of the hood.. That wouldn't be a bad idea, How much would you charge for one? Honestly.. You could probably get some guys from the Mazdarepu Forum interested, and an even hotter item is the Repu Front Valance.. Almost everyone on that forum wants 1 or 2..

hmm thats not a bad idea, i need a front valance for the r100, hmmmmmmmmm

mike

75 Repu 02-14-2003 01:48 PM

Hell Yeah, make one out of CF.. That would be nice.. They are already trying to get a Group buy going cuz one of the guys had a Valance in perfect condition, so he gave it to the fiberglass guy to get an estimate..

Another one of the guys suggested doing it in Urethane, that would be nice too cuz it wouldnt break. So c'mon, how much for a CF hood for the repu..? Roughly.. I'll buy the Beer..

cymfc3s 02-14-2003 01:54 PM

well, lemme see if mike and i can round up a hood to make a mold.

75 Repu 02-14-2003 02:01 PM

No hurry on that.. but it would be nice to have molds for those parts like the fenders, valance, and stuff like that cuz no one makes them. and then you could even convert a courier to a Repu look alike..

How far are you guys from LA anyways?
