My Fuel Gauge Died! What Happened..

Ok i noticed i was low on gas the other so i go fill up i put about 10 bucks in and realize while im driving away that the gauge was no below the double lines, i think ok give it some time, that didnt work, maybe its stuck so i drive a little aggresivley to maybe shake it loose, nope. then all of a sudden it went up then dies again, can some please help on what to do to fix this?? iw ould really appreciate it, thanks alot

my fuel guage is bad too.. it only works if i have over a half a tank in it.. otherwise it just reads empty. =/

take out your fuel pump and see if something looks funny with the fuel lever sensor on the pump setup. it's not that hard to pull out. maybe a sensor wire is loose and needs to me connected better, it happened with my oil pressure sensor.

The float may have come off. Should be somewhere inside the tank.
