And my newly instaled JDM FTP lenses. Looks like the pic on the cover of my owners manual.

Gotta love that shifter knob, going to order myself one when it's time. Very nice car, how about performance mods?

cps87rx7se 02-04-2005 07:30 AM

Custom intake, ported and polished throttle body w/ mod, Racing Beat header, Magnaflow high flow Cat (sometimes there is a test pipe in its palce https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR ), Borla Cat back system, and the MR short throw shifter.

Does that shift knob screw on like the stocker or do you have to use set screws?

It screws on just like the stock one. Also, it is the same thread pattern as the stock on because it says that you cna use the stock knob or the aftermarket one. Its a really short shift. It makes my dads C5 'Vette shifter seem like a Saturns.

nice looking car... altho it looks a little like its standing on tip-toe... maybe thats the angle, but it might also be the rim/tire package... is that larger than stock? how much did the short-shifter cost you?

Il RX8 lI 02-05-2005 12:02 PM

Any dyno sheets?

cps87rx7se 02-05-2005 08:09 PM

Yea, they are 17"*7.5" rims. I paid 210 for the shifter, the knob, and shipping from SPDRacing on this forum. He is a seller for Mazda Racing. It is a very good upgrade if you are able to get used to the shorter shifting. No dyno sheets on her yet. I am hoping that when spring roles around, I am going to take it out to Hartford to Kahren to have it dynoed, and have him hook up the S-AFC and tweak that. I am hoping to put down 175 to the wheels after I put on the new parts I got over the winter. ACT Street /Strip clutch, and Unorthodox underdrive main pulley. But at the track, my best time was a 15.3 sec. 1/4 mi. @ 91.3 mph. That was with a shitty jump. If I can get my 60' down, I am pretty sure that I could hit a high 14 sec 1/4 mi. All in due time though!

cps87rx7se 02-08-2005 10:34 AM

Anyone have any sugguestions for lowering springs? I was going to go with Tein, but someone on here said that they were junk.

Awesome. Have you heard anything about their street series pullies yet? There has not been an update in the site in like two or three months. I might be interested in getting it.

CHRIS
