I don't think it was the apex seals, because of the wobbling. I was thinking it was from a bearing failing too. There was almost 70k on this engine, it had been rebuilt about 40k before I bought it. I had my boost contoller set at about 10 - 11 psi, so I wasn't even boosting high.

huh.... That sucks...

its weird that the pulley was wobbling, they usually dont do that

mike

After I pulled off the alternator belts, I grabed the eccentric pulley and was able to wiggle it. I know you're not supposed to be able to do that. I figure that the front bearing failed, and because I had all of the play on the eccentric shaft, it wiped out my apex seals. Now I just gotta figure out why/how the bearing failed. If my thermal pellet went bad, could it cause the bearing to go?

It is almost kinda nice driving the vert around, I filled up the tank, and I've already put 130 miles on the car, and not even used 1/2 a tank. But the car is still slow!! I miss my boost!

Damn! That sucks! I've been slacking on pulling everything off to get the engine out, but I'm not in a rush. I would like to see the damage though.
