sup people , i have encountered a problem wit my 91 n/a.. maybe someone can help me out here, around 20 or 40 mph i get this vibration like i feel it in the drivetrain or in a wheels if ur in neutral u can feel it but its way worse if u accelerate in gear.. i was thinking maybe a tranny or diff mount , but yet i dont hear a clunk when shifting.. it just vibrates in 40 in 4th and 20 in 2nd.. its like when u leave it in a higher gear at a lower speed, it vibrates! can anybody help me out?
thanx Chris |
Holy ****! My N/A is doing that right now! Its the Universial Joint. You have to buy a complete driveshaft(from what I hear) cause the U Joint doesn't seperate from the propeller shaft. Mines been doin' it for about 6 daze now...

i think its either the diff mounts or the tranny mounts
i checked the driveshaft for play while in gear and it doesnt move for ****... anybody? |
someone remind me why you cant change the u-joints on a
stock driveshaft again? |
Dunno. Ive tried to buy just the u-joints, but no one has a part number. The guy from mazda told me that you can't change 'em and that you had to buy a new driveshaft. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

heat the u-joint with a torch and the plastic melts out of them and the ujoints fall right out. then its only a matter of finding u-joints to bolt back in. not like they make the driveshaft and ujoint as a one piece thing |
