u blew a vac hose off most likely or an intercooler coupling deally..

UniqueTII 10-14-2002 09:05 PM

That's impossible without taking off the UIM. Maybe we should do the vacuum lines and UIM gasket next weekend.

You can try to check for vacuum leaks with a can of wd-40...spray it around the vacuum lines and listen for a change in idle. You can also use water or propane...you decide how safe you want to be. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Ha Ha Ed Do you really want me to blow this thing up? You better just play it safe if you want to remain on the top of the list when I go to sell her. lol https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/moon.gif

check your TID for cracks

UniqueTII 10-14-2002 09:15 PM

WD-40 won't blow your car up if you don't spray it on an open flame...so not on your exhaust. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

yeah but propane??????? Hey what might a TID be???

vosko 10-14-2002 09:25 PM

TID = turbo inlet duct

goes from your AFM to the turbo big black rubber plastic thing.... prone to cracking

UniqueTII 10-14-2002 09:28 PM

Maybe it's time for a custom TID upgrade.

AFM??? Sorry, i'm kinda new at this. Would that spit out oil if it was cracked? 'Cause I just noticed a nice big oil spot on the ground!
