ok i just bought a o.s. giken twin plate clutch flywheel combo on ebay however i didnt think about it i have a stock na fc with a t2 drivetrain and susspesion setup and well after talking to my friend i belive i have made a mistake and that this is way to much clutch for my aplication and that i will get no slippage and start snaping halfshafts and drive shafts please let me know if this is true if it is ill prolly be selling said setup on here please help thanks

I dont see why it would hurt anything, i dont think you will start snapping anything until you have about 4 times the torque. It might wear out your leg for alittle while, but you should be able to slip the clutch without too much trouble and take off normally. As for launches, isnt that the point, no slippage from the clutch?

Either the clutch slips, the tires slip, something breaks or the car moves. If you want the car to move as quickly and efficiently as possible then you fix the other things.

it sould work but it would be better if you had a TII or a RE motor.

that setup should work without any problems, plus youll already have a good clutch and flywheel if you upgrade your engine.

If you decide to sell it please let me know as i'm interested in purchasing a Twin Disk setup for my FD and would also need a converter...

WTF, since when does a manual need a converter?

Fd needs pull to push converter for os type twin plate.

I have had a cusco twin plate in my fd for over a year now had no problems and its way nicer to drive than a single paddle type any day.
