how many turn from lock to lock for manual steering? for power steering?

FrestyleFC3S 08-28-2003 09:33 PM

ps = 2.7

j9fd3s 08-28-2003 09:41 PM

i think ms = 3.7

FrestyleFC3S 08-28-2003 09:52 PM

= ps -> ms = better

smaller # of turns lock to lock = bigger pinion gear = more torque required to turn the wheel = https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

Just do a set of push-ups every morning and you'll be okay. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.png

The only time it really matters is if youre trying to parallel park or something.

At speed, theyre both easy to turn.

RX7Aggie 08-29-2003 09:44 AM

well at speed you can turn a top fuel dragster w/o power steering and with a locked differential.

most of my manuvers are at lower speeds, so i'd like to make this as easy as possible.

When I say "at speed", I mean anything above 5mph. If you cant turn an empty PS rack at 5mph, youre a girl https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

FrestyleFC3S 08-29-2003 04:13 PM

thats why i called him a poo c ..

its sooo easy for me to turn the wheel 99.999999|% of the time

the only other time its hard is when i am at a dead stop....parking is easy

mike ur bigger than me times many....so ur bigger than me = stronger = easier

I drove my car with a messed up rack and messed up front suspension...I must be a he-man or something.

All that masturbation paid off...

UniqueTII 08-29-2003 04:31 PM

Totally different set of muscles, man. Well, it still paid off, but not when it comes to driving the car.

RX7Aggie 08-29-2003 05:05 PM

i think i still have too much air and fluid in my plugged lines. sometimes its easy to turn, sometimes it's rough. when the plugs were out, it was real easy. once i loop the lines, i'm sure it will be perfect. i'll get around to doing that sunday hopefully...

FrestyleFC3S 08-29-2003 07:21 PM

it should be "harder" when ur A - at a stop, B - taking a turn really hard...cause then itll try and snap back so u gotta hold it more
