hey all i am getting a divided mani that is gonna place the turbo right where the abs unit is. has anyone ever made there own lines and moved the thing? is that all that there is to it?

My ABS pump leaked and I got tired of bleeding the brakes everytime I drove it. A new one costs $2400. and I didn't want to waste my time with a questionable used one. I shitcanned the pump and replaced all the lines and the proportioning valve with parts pulled from a non-ABS car. I also got a new (rebuilt) non-ABS master cylinder. I haven't bled them since. They work great, and I am happy as hell with the mod.

I can't see it what else there is other than the lines. Where do you plan on moving it? Other side of the engine?

yeah i dont think it really needs to be any particular place, they do have some beefy brackets on it though, so it needs to be mounted securely, and preferably should be in the middle of the car so the brakes dont get damaged in a crash

i dont think youd want it close to the outside where it can be hit

if you get in a heavy accident in the front left, the area there isnt nearly as strong as the wheel well and fender there

it could be possible for the lines to split open, spark, and light on fire
