I have finished my research and done my chatting with the guys who will be building my motor - RotorSports Racing. These guys are great! Here is what we came up w/ for my application:

*Original 89/91 NA Block

*91 T2 Housings

*Streetported to match mods(not finalized yet)

*Adding of cooling fins to the housings' coolant passage

*Replacement of Eccentric shaft ball&spring w/ fixed jets

*Polished Eccentric shaft journals

*3mm APEX seals

With this motor setup, I should have a steady 195 to 205 HP(depending on how the Streetporting goes). Also, my original plan was just to run a small 50 shot of NOS, but they told me that with this setup, guys boosting over 15lbs haven't had many problems w/ their motors, and they told me that a 100 shot will not hurt the motor. Considering I'm only using NOS for the drags, I guess it should be fine. MMMM 100 shot of juice, hehe...with that the GTU-X should be pushing well up to 320-350HP :) Now to just start laying out the other mods ;)

If you go with NOS I would go with the Zex setup. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I just e mailed them to see if they have a Rx7 kit (they don't have one listed on their website) and I am waiting to hear back from them. I'll let you know what I hear.

Thanks for contacting Zex man...appreciate it, let me know on it....

...as for the NOS heat thing, after talking to the guys at the shop, they told me that NOS will actually be less harmful then running a big turbo or so...mainly being because the turbos are boosting almost everyday(if you know how to drive that is :)), and NOS will only boost when you want it too, it would be like having a T2, but only hitting boost once a week or so. Also, if NOS does create more heat, then the heat will not last long enough to harm the car, a 100 shot of NOS only takes about 2-3 sec to be used up, and by then I'll be at the end of the track :), I'm not to worried on the heat, but I did like the idea of the cooling fins being cut into the coolant passages, just in case ;)

The intake temp with NOS is very low because it starts off as a liquid then when it is injected into the air it vaporizes (similar to water injection) and has a cooling effect. As for engine temp. I have no clue.
