How do you change the motor mounts? Do you need to raise the engine? Or is it simpler? Thanks.

Im doing mine on wendsday, fron what i understand you just need to lift the engine a bit and remove the old and put in the new. Fairly simple from my understanding.

Thats not to bad. As long as you have a hoist.

I replaced my mounts last night when i did my brakes and man did it make a big difference. I had a bad vibration at 3000RPM, now the vibration is almost nothing now. Its still got a 3k vibration but not bad at all.

What I wanted to do was switch out the old ones, since I dont think that they have been replaced, so I want to replace them with Banzai Racing polyurethane motor mounts to lessen the motor tweak.

But with solid or near solid mounts you will have alot more engine vibration ranslated through the chassis. So if you dont mind the vibration then its a good thing to do. My passanger side mount was DESTROYED, It was sepratied into two peices. Im told that this is not uncommon because of the way the engine rotates. So ya.

so, what did you put on your 7? is it the poly mounts are softer than OEM ones?

also, it is ok to have OEM motor mounts, and solid or poly tranny mounts?

I used OEM engien mounts and will be putting in OEM tranny mounts in there as well. I dont think you will see any adverse effects if you decide to go with either or.

Also, the OEM are softer than the poly mounts.
