I was inspecting last night, and was thinking this over. Correct me if I'm wrong:



In front of the radiator is easier to do, because of the already-available Honda piping from an autoparts store. But it is more prone to rain, and anything else flying in the front.



Behind the wheel well is more protected, but required that I find some sort of 90* bend to go downward.



Do these sound right?

I voted for wheel well because it was easy and the way I have it, its less susceptible to water

what material did you use for piping?

I cut a Honda pipe that already had a nice almost 90 degree bend in it and another slight angle bend (since MAF sits lower than TB inlet duct).. also had nipple in it for IATS line

intake air temp sensor.. it's on the drivers side of your upper intake man.. has that hard metal pipe with a big vacuum line going to it



The pipe I used was for a 92-95 Prelude if that helps.

i did mine b/c i didnt' want to remove the washer fluid bottle and b/c FC's idea was only like 8" off the ground. Texas streets are prone to flood, and b/c i drive this car even in the rain, i dont want to suck up water into my intake.



my design isn't really in the direct flow of pouring water; it is above the lower front bumper grill so all the pouring water will hit the lower part of the radiator. and if you are worried about debris getting in there, push a wire mesh grill in place of the plastic grill...it looks better anyway

is that associated with the BAC?



I think I'm going to go with behind the wheel well, for several reason. I'd rather not explain, because sometimes I hate defending my decision. But I have considered everything I've read, and everything I've been told, and the environment in which it will be driven.

and looking at that area last night, that seems to be the cleanest place to make a hole...not supporting any weight, free of cables or wires, nice and flat.
