Or do these things have the blind spot from hell?

Yup. Visibility to the rear ain't great. But if you wanted lots of glass you'd have bought a 1976 AMC Pacer. Groovy Baby! :lachuh:

And the beauty of the pacer is the drivers side door is bigger than the passenger, always makes good for quick exits!

I prefer the Gremlin:

My dad used to drag race a gremlin in the 70s, it had a straight six w/ full exhaust and no interior....low 8s in the 1/8th i think....

The only time mine does not have a blind spot is when I have the top down...... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

In all fairness, I should post the sportier coupe.

My brother had a Maverick when he was in high school and that fucker was pretty fast, I kid you not. It was actually my moms car but he drove the hell out of it. It had a 302 in it with an auto and pretty low gears. The thing was a total family car, four doors and all, straight up stock. He has so many stories of roasting people at stop lights, some are just ******* hilarious! We used to call it the Mavelack (Maverick/Cadillac). He ended up swapping out the motor into a 68 Mustang.

But with the top up, there is a huge blind spot.

Yeah, they weren't too bad.

My cousin had a pinto and we customized it a la California style. (Think rice but not as many stupid stickers and nothing done to the engine)

It was funny as all hell. Wish I had a picture of it. Was actually a fairly good car until the engine threw a rod.

I mean for a pinto!

Dad had an AMC Ambassador that had OK straightline acceleration. 2 speed auto tranny. What a concept!

Then there was that Chevy Citation....

:eh: :eh: :eh: :eh:
