i am just wondering if anyone has tried out the mazdatrix dual exhaust system that they have, it is uncollected and is COMPLETE...they claim a 28% increase in hp...(25hp?)

ROTARYROCKET7 02-05-2003 11:16 PM

UM NEVER SEEN IT

Seppuku 02-05-2003 11:20 PM

I hear that its really good and does what its suppose to. Ive never seen it though.

rx7machine 02-05-2003 11:38 PM

25hp gain? That part sounds good.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

ROTARYROCKET7 02-06-2003 12:05 AM

how much??

isamu 02-06-2003 12:38 AM

I am currently using the Mazdatrix true dual exhaust one my 88 which I bought from ILUVMY88CABRIO. I tell you what, its pretty ******* loud. It does sound cool though, especially at idle. My brother described the sound of my car as similar to a BMW motorcycle. As for horsepower gains, Mazdatrix has tested the exhaust extensively so if they say (up to) a 28% increase in power they mean it. I have no idea how much it increased mine, but the car accelerates quite well vs. with the stock exhaust.

foopy 02-06-2003 01:22 AM

interesting...

how does that compare to the RB exhuast that everyone raves about.

ILUVMY88CABRIO 02-06-2003 01:38 AM

It is the RB true dual exhaust. For a NA it is well worth the money ($1400, I think). And I bet that if it did have the RB mufflers it would have been quieter. So Isamu, have you gotten any exhaust tickets yet?

ILUVMY88CABRIO 02-06-2003 01:56 AM

Here are some pics of it when it was on my vert...

Noice..

pengaru 02-06-2003 04:19 PM

i wonder how much heavier that system is than the collected rb header/presilencer/dual mufflers

ROTARYROCKET7 02-06-2003 04:29 PM

I GOT DSL..no prob is there apic of the exhaust?

Apex13B 02-06-2003 08:34 PM

it looks only a few pounds heavier than a " Single" system which they also sell..you also have your choice of either HKS or RacingBeat mufflers.. i never though of that pengaru...i'lll can them tomorrow and find out..i think it will be a somewhat trivial difference

i liked it because it comes complete and i dont have to bum a ride to work because there isnt anything missing https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

the exhaust is here

check movie out too!

pengaru 02-06-2003 08:56 PM

yeah I'm not sure of the weight difference, which is why I asked... One thing I don't like about the RB system I bought is the weight, the pieces are all very heavy duty but they are heavy also. Bikes save a bunch of weight by using titanium for the exhaust, RB should offer a titanium version, I just might consider forking out the cash for that.

No noise pollution tickets for me as of yet! I think I just drive the car to slow https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif I've had the po po follow me around but never pulled me over. They like it when I shoot flames at them. :bigthumg:

One of these days we will have to line up, maybe even go to PIR since I have never been there. Of course you will beat my ass but my exhaust will still be pounding in your head two hours later https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

You should come with me to the street races this weekend, then we can line up, and it'll be free.

I used to get followed by the cops all the time when that exhaust was on my vert.

I'd like to but I have to work tomorrow night and then get up and be in Canada around 8:30.

ILUVMY88CABRIO 02-07-2003 02:10 AM

You going to be up there all weekend?

isamu 02-07-2003 09:31 AM

No, pretty much just all day Saturday. There is a kendo tournament going on and its supposed to be a big one. Probably get my ass handed to me, but thats alright https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

ILUVMY88CABRIO 02-07-2003 02:14 PM

Do you have to work on Sunday?

isamu 02-07-2003 09:16 PM

Nope

ILUVMY88CABRIO 02-08-2003 03:01 PM

****, you should come out tonight, it was pretty fun last night I beat a 3000GT VR4, Eclipse, and a couple of other cars.

isamu 02-09-2003 12:53 PM

Sounds cool. ****, I didn't get home until around 12:30 and I went to bed pretty quick. Glad to here you kicked some ass, unfortunately I didn't fare so well https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif haha.

So how bad did you wup the VR4's ass? I always thought those cars were pretty fast but I really don't know anything about them.

BTW it took less than 5 minutes to get through the border last night, there was only like one car in front of us. It was nice.

ILUVMY88CABRIO 02-09-2003 06:14 PM

The VR4 was pretty slow. I shut down mid way through 2nd, and had 1 1/2 - 2 car lengths on him. I thought that I was going to get beat, but those cars do weigh alot.
