okay, so my brakes suck, i got ss lines waiting to be installed, and i'm sure my MC is older than dirt, so i'm replacing it with a new one. mazdatrix has like 8 different ones, and i'm guessing i'd get the one for all rx-7's without AAS and ABS. what is AAS? i dont think i have ABS, but it's hard to tell since i can't lock up my tires.

also, i'm getting some new pads, most likely bonez. will i need anything else, like other brake hardware?

ABS is easy to tell if you have a giant square thing with metal hard lines going into on the passenger side by the turbo. AAS is only on the GXL's . it is the auto adjusting suspension.

okay, that checks out, now will an autozone MC due, or should i go mazdatrix? the autozone is $58 with a $40 core, and i have to choose between "standard" and "heavy duty suspension", is this just a different term for the AAS? the mazdatrix MC is $136, and i will also have to pay for shipping.

i would get the mazda trix, rebuilt mc's arent all that great

so mazdatrix is new? what about rebuilding calipers, worth it? i looked at haynes and fsm for details on this, and it looks like a pain. i'm going with pads, ss lines, and the MC for now. hopefully that will be good enough.
