Overheating

my 86 13b is over heating new radiator flushed the collant system but it still boils over. and when steam comes out of the over fill it isnt real hot and if i run the car for 5 seconds and i open the radiator cap there is alot of pressure in there. could it be my thermostat stuck open

any comments will be greatly appreciated

Try a new oem thermostat, could also be air in the our system still, needs to be burped for the next week.

if your tstat is stuck open the car will run COLD..... change the tstat or remove it and see what happens. do you get any white smoke out the tailpipe if its in neutral and you rev to 5k rpm and hold it for like 10 seconds ? like a HUGE continuous cloud ?

it smokes at 5,000 rpms pretty bad

and 9,000 lol
