alright i posted this in rx7club but its acting up so here goes

i blew my 90 n/a a couple weeks ago and i have bout 4.5 to 5 thousand to get a car with i was leaning towards a mr2 but i love rotorys and cant stop thinking bout driving one that isnt

theres a junkyard that sells nothin but rx7's and i was talking to him and he has the complete pullout of a turboII from differential to brakes to tranny engine to harness to ecu everything to make a tII.

he also has a empty 2g shell and i wanted to put every thing on that cuz of clean title everythings striped lighter car no sunroof and all the misc. parts i would take my n/a parts and put it on to the shell. i should b gettting all this for roughly 2 thousand

1. when i buy the engine hes gonna do a comp test wat comp should i b looking for so i can buy it install and dont have to do a rebuild cuz i cant no money

2. wat prices do u think i should get for engine and drive train into the shell would cost thats all ima need

heres my aimed list of mods when this is complete by the end of july

turbo outlet gasket 48.49

downpipe 124.00

8mm wires 108.00

steel brake lines 108.00

toe elim 40.00

oil pan baffle 51.50

oil pan gasket 15.40 x 2

split air cover plate 6.00

alum radiator 224.95

lowerrad hose 18.67

upper rad hose 15.79

rest of the hoses from mazda trix 56.18

turbo inlet duct 135.42

boost guage 60.90

boost contoller 71.87

is there anything im missing givin there is good compression i jus need a certain number to look for

is the list sufficiant or do i need more remeber my most money needs to b under 5 thousand

thanx

hmm decent is like 90 across the board, 100's are good and 120 is perfect basically its like your motor just came off the assembly line if you get anything below 90 in the 80's get ready for a rebuild.

dont bother with e-fan or ignition if you have money to spend on other stuff

DJ Blu 07-06-2005 09:05 AM

if you run the mechanical fan and the schroud... it will be as cool if not cooler than the e-fan, and you don't need to worry about the fan not turning on. Run the mechanical... your car won't see 200 degrees
