Well, I went outside about 5 min ago to smoke a cig and noticed a puddle of oil under my car. WTF I think? So I go to investigate, and theres oil all over the FRONT of my bumper on the passenger side, like it was spraying out. Everything inside the bumper is covered with oil. Anyone know what the **** is goin' on? I really don't wanna get stuck at work. Thanks...

Is it possible that you blew one of the lines to your oil cooler?
|
Yeah...I just thought about that like 2 sec ago... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif
I gotta take the whole bumper off for this ****? |
Good luck and hope it's nothing major.

The force is strong in this one! |
WHAAT?? so is it on the same side as the oil cooler or not?? new oil lines are like 90 bucks, and it takes a couple big wrenches to get the lines off.
the oil cooler it'self is held on by 4-10mm nuts. Shouldn't take too long, depends on how buzzed you are. I probably have an old line you can have if you want it. One of them was leaking tho. |
k i re-read your post, u sure it's not power steering or possibly crap from your a/c system. Unless you blew an end tank on yoru oil cooler ?? your car has got some issues!!!
maybe it's from reving the piss out of it when it's cold!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif drunk ass |
the only powersteering line running by your bumper on the passenger side is the power steering cooler part which is in front of your oil cooler, basically a metal line that runs horiztonal, loops around, and goes back to the driver's side. if that somehow popped you'd get a big spray of p/s fluid and your p/s would stop working. kevin. |
Sounds like teknics has solved your problem. Power steering line.

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif kevin - your the ****, thanks. I didn't know there was a PS line there. I dont need PS anyway, lol.
|
Good to hear it's something easy and well done Kevin.
|
MOP lines are on the passenger side also. Check your oil level on the motor and your PS to be sure. Never just assume.

Assuming your car is a turbo model it could also be the oil feed line to your turbo. Like nemesis said be sure never just assume.
I did, and the fluid was a light clear brown, so of course I assumed oil cause it felt like oil and KINDA looked like it. Plus I have no PS, so it all adds up. And by the looks of it, I wont have PS for a long time...**** fixing that ****. And NO - I wasn't high...(at that time) |

Thanks, brent seriously though all you need is like 3/4", 7/8", 18mm-10mm wrenches and enough strength to bend thin walled tubing. only taking off p/s maybe a bit harder though as youll actually have to dismount the pump form the pulley, me and frestyle skipped that by removing the whole 50000lbs mounting plate since you need a very thin boxed end wrench or very good open end wrench to get 2 of the 3 bolts holding the p/s pump to the pulley off. altho one of my teachers told me about electric p/s which im sorta looking into altho its very expensive. kevin. |
