Hello,

I am finishing up a TII swap and have run into a major electrical problem.

I also completed a battery relocation while I was at it. I have voltage at the battery, the remote terminals, both sides of the main fuse, and also have power at every fuse.

My son, who is gone now in the Marines, unhooked the throttle cable at which time he apparently unhooked some of the wiring under the dash to complete this task. The conector at the little sliver box underneath the dash was unplugged. I plugged this back in. I found 2 other connectors (see attached pics) and have not been able to determine where they go.

When I turn the ignition key to the on position my stereo amps have power, the clock turns on and runs, all of the warning lights come on. Also the oil level and coolant level are both on (buzzing) and they stay on (buzzing) regardless what position the key is in.

I attempted to turn the engine over but there is absoluttely nothing.

The connector in pic 1 and 2 is on the left side near the fuse box itself and the connector in pic 2 is near (above) the gas pedal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

Michael

theres a little wire on the starter, that clips onto the spade terminal. it then goes unthru the alternator/charging harness and clips to the main wiring harness under the brake master. then it goes thru the main harness up to the clutch saftey switch and then to the start position of the ignition switch. its black with i think a green tracer.

(major) Part of my previous problem.

I was looking at page 15-8 in the 87 workshop manual and I see there is a starter cut relay (#22). I do not have this installed yet. When I painted my enginie bay I remove everything. I do not know where it goes of what wire(s) it attaches to, let alone what it looks like.

Does anyone have a picture of this thing. I think it is by the main relay near the brake booster.

Thanx

Nope......not it either.

The starter cut relay is only for cars with the anti-theft system, which mine does not have, so I have a blue jumper plug up by the brake booster in it's place.

I think I have found the source of the problem though.

I have 11.9 volts at the starter hot wire, so I jumped the 2 studs with a large srewdriver and nothing happened.

I believe this would indicate that I have a bad starter/solenoid.

I hope it is that simple.

Thanx
