well this was my first road course event . i think i did pretty good after i found out my rear shocks were set wrong the 500 mile drive with no radio and act race clutch sitting in 3+ hours of traffic also made the drive interesting. i learned alot about the car at the limit. i saw a bunch of people from the tristate area 2fast7s,gene, turborotor. we all had little problems that we resolved at the track 2fast7s had a ripped ic coupler, turborotor had failed leading coils, gene had a vacuum hose pop off. i was surprised that my TII never overheated the whole time on the track! the way home was *interesting* first low coolant sensor failed so for the first 2-3 hrs driving back all i heard was BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ after the second time we stopped for gas (turborotor)carlos figured out that if you ground out the connector it won't go off i dozed off at like 1:30 am after driving for about 4 hrs and did this to my car after tapping a guard rail. looks time its time for a repainthttp://www.vosko.net/photos/mads02/t2damage-4.JPG

the driving school did help me from not wrecking the car completely as i just tapped the guard rail instead of smacking it full on! other than my mishap i had a good time. i plan on attending the september mads hopefully with my FD and i am gonna bring a codriver it is just too long of a drive for anyone to do alone!

**** you didn't tell me that, did you do that on the way home too or at the track?

vosko 04-01-2002 12:20 PM

the turbo didn't like being on boost for 30mins and from 5000-8000 rpm the whole time on the track https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif

Youre still doing pretty good considering you only got that car a short time ago, and for so cheap. That quarter panel just plain sucks! All this fun youre having with the TII, whats with your other car? Have you been working on it at all?

i gotta drive what i got! unfortunately can't afford the fix the car either TII is gonna sit or i have to sell GTU to fix the TII for now i'll just drive it like it is https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png its officially a *track car* now https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

i'm probably just gonna get that 1/4 fixed its rather minor only a few hundred dollars to fix. the hardest part will be finding a left 90 tailight ? anyone anyone https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
