So i have a 88 TII running a large street port. My current exhaust set up is far too loud, ill start from the down pipe back. I have a 2 1/2" downpipe with a cheap resonator in place of the cat, after that i have a 3" Corksport cat back with straight through muffler. I need to find a way to quiet it up with out too much restriction. I would like to keep the cat back as is, i was thinking of buying one of the Racing Beat pre-silencers to put in place of my current resonator.
Any thought or input is appreciated Thanks, Jim |
do you have any emissions from the motor to the end of cat?

The Racing Beat full exhaust is free flowing and rather quiet. But from what I have heard, your combo is one of the loudest ones on the market, so about anything you do will be better.
For a custom exhaust, I have used magnaflows with good results. |

well if you get a resonator on there it would quite it down a bit but without the cats it will be louder

I do have a resonator but it only got rid of the raspyness of the exhaust. didnt help with the overall loudness. Im not looking to spend 900 for a racing beat exhaust. Im looking to push 400 hp with this car.

get another resonatorput on or run a silencer
