Wassup i'm from West New York, NJ and i got a 6 port motor that i want to take apart but i need the 54mm flywheel socket and i don't know where the hell i could buy it. At one point there was an SK Tool guy that said he could get it for $50 but then the bastard never picked up his phone or came around again. If anyone knows where i could get one around my way Please let me know.

Sears has them, but it's the SAE socket, 2 1/4 or 2 1/2, I can't remember. A quick search should turn up that measurement.

According to RB's website its 54mm, or 2 1/8in.

I bought the Craftsman 2-1/8" socket from Sears online. Had it to my door in a few days. Works great.

Remember there's 25.4 mm in an inch, so 54mm divided by 25.4 equals 2.126" or 2-1/8".

thanx guys i knew 2 1\8" would work but wasn't sure if it would have to much slop. I guess off to sears i go. My snap on guy said he couldn't even get it for me and kept trying to sell me the big axle sockets for 4wd. I also know Sk Tools(facom) has it(54mm) but it's something like $80.

As I recall, it was a very good fit. And less than $30. Not sure if it's 3/4" or 1/2" drive. Unless you have other uses for a socket that size, it makes sense (to me) to get the cheap one.

if it wasnt for gas being so expensive id say id drive down and take it off for you but from north nj to west NY is like $1k in gas it feels like lol. reminds me of the guy that drove all the way over to me, with his engine in his trunk, so i could pop off the flywheel nut with my socket and air gun lol. he was trying to get it off for days, it took him longer to pop the trunk then it did for me to unbolt it.

kevin.
