I Had my waterpump housing off for the week, and I had a machine shop tap my water temp and air intake temp for my Haltech sensors, and had them tap another spot for my defi water temp sensor sender. I also painted the waterpump housing and pulley, and wired in my starter and my chassis. And guess what NO SMOKE! Thxs to my friends we also sat in my garage polishing manifolds and my new stock Ic piping I received. We played around with a lot of techniques and grits. I still think by hand is the best way, especially on curvy surfaces, unless you have 1000x of those sanding discs....

Here is a side by side view of before and after of the waterpump assembly. I just used high gloss engine enamel and clear coated it. One of my friends also used a dremel to touch up the cf panel I bought which was no where near perfect.

I'm not sure about those plugs you put in the coolant nipples, it would probably be a good idea to do a coolant system pressure test before you put the rest of the intake on... get ~15PSI in the system and see if those plugs leak...

you can grab the nipples with locking pliers and just twist + pull, they come right out of the engine housing... then tap the iron and install the plug there.

ok good idea, I have a coolant pressure tester system.... I will give it a shot...
