So my friends rx7 caught fire a few days ago- a fuel line popped off at 14o mph- good times. I had an extra shell so hes in luck and for it i got a turbo, header, 3in hks ti exhaust(fd fitted to fc) down pipe wastegate and wastegate piping. I just finished building and porting my motor. I have a pretty good streetport- I dont think its mild. the turbo is a 60-1 t4. So my question is when I bolt this all up- at 10psi and with my street port how much fuel enrichment do i need- i have a warlboro 255 pump- would a FPR at 60 psi be sufficient? also what do i need to do with the timing- retard- advance- I need a lil help. My goal is 300hp- not at 10 psi but thats the spring in the wastegate- so thats what ill run till i get injectors and a fuel comp- Thanks.

id retard the timing a few degrees, not more than 5 though, cause its gonne run weird. i dunno about the fuel part, i'm thinking its not gonna be.

alright- retard the timing- i have a timing light but not with the degree thing on the back- should i get one or is there a less than 5degree estimate i can look at the tdc needle and do.

still need input on fuel

on the pulley 5mm would be about 5 degrees. the distance between the trialing and leading is 15 degrees if you divide that space into 3 even sections that would be how much 5 degrees is.

as far as fuel bumping the presure up will not be enough fuel fot that turbo. you will need bigger injecotrs and something to control them with. dont forget to upgrade the fuel pump.

a 60-1 at 10 psi should make over 300 whp

i have a fuel pump as stated in the first post. 300 hp at 10 psi- really, i expected to go to 14 with tuning for 300 hp-bhp i guess. what a bout 8 psi is there enough fuel for that?

There is barely enough fuel for the stock turbo, let alone a bigger one. You need at least bigger secondaries and some way to control them. You will blow your motor in a hurry if you try to run it the way you have described.

with that setup and 780 sec inj and an rtek 1.7- what would that be cpable of? is that enough for 10- or 12 or 8 ha ha thanks again guys

Get on a dyno, or atleast use someone wideband to find out.

You'll need more than just secondaries. I run 4 720cc injectors with a walboro and am using a BNR hybrid turbo(specs in sig). My injectors run in the high 80% duty cycle range @ 310rwhp (14psi). If I were you I would just wait and do it right and not hurt the motor. Patience will save you in the long run.

well my turbo(stock) blew- i have to run this setup to get my car going- its all i got. I can go to a 5.6lb spring or a 3.5lb one- which is prob what ill do until i can get fuel set up
