I still can't ******* figuer out if these help acceleration... I have asked many ppl and everyone says different things. Some ppl say ya i love it, it helps accelerate alot faster. Other say no, because they lose too many RPMs during shifting. What is the real deal here? Can only ppl who have the flywheels talk of experience. The light flywheel helps alot in acceleration. You won't lose alot of revs if you're good at driving your car. I've had it on 2 cars, and that mod alone made a big difference. My revs drop about the same with the light fylwheel as they did without it. Launches were tricky at first, but if I launch my car at about 6K I get a quick chirp and then it just goes. I have a 9.5 lb. flywheel.

No problem. It takes more work to get the most out of the lightweight flywheel, but it's worth it. The engine revs alot better with it. You'll notice the biggest difference in 1st and 2nd gear.

If so i just go with a more durable longer life clutch.... And wow, so u don't notice difference in drop and u got extremely light 9.5# flywheel.. What about your idle and normal driving is it jumpy? And how about shifting vs oem flywheel?

revving at 6k and you only chirp? do you baby the hell outta the clutch? i mean i have stock flywheel with 225/50-16's and anything higher than 4.5k rpms they let loose when i pop the clutch. i have never driven a car with a lightened flywheel, so i have no idea...prolly making a fool outta myself..=)

You sometimes have to rev it a little higher to get it going, but if you're good you don't have to. I'm using a clutchnet 6 puck sprung disk, and it's very good. The idle and everything was fine.

Well, it's more than a chirp, but it doesn't spin like crazy. I think it's 6K, but maybe it's 5K. I didn't just drop the clutch. I was kind of easy on it. I once launched my car hard at 6K and it was all over the place. That wouldn't help my 1/4 mile times. I lose traction in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear during full throttle runs, but it's usually not too bad, except for one time in 2nd at 50 mph when the car almost went sideways.https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png That was with 275/35/18's.
