I'm ashamed to say it but I've had it happen to me. Check the MAIN fuse again under the hood, I think its 80 amps. Thats what I blew, hopefully thats all you blew as well.

btw- here is what I ended up with, I ended up using cosmo main and waterpump pulleys, FD alt and FD pulley, FD AC compressor, FD tensioner pulley for the ac all on a S4 TII power steering delete AC bracket that I had to get modified so that everything would line up.

Guys my day keeps getting worse. I replaced my alternator, checked pulley alignment with a laser and everything is straight. I still shred belts off. Everything spins freely.
With all the electrical components disconnected and no current, everything WAS fine.
I was putting the B terminal back on the post and I did the SAME stupid thing. The wrench touched my intake manifold and made one little spark and now my car won't start. I pulled the 100amp main fuse I have in my S5 and it's fine. I'm really trying to not get discouraged but this has been really messing me up for work and everything, as this car is my daily. Does anybody have any idea where to start?

Nobody? This is really detrimental to me as this is my daily.
What kinds of things do I need to check? Fusible links? Solenoids?
All the fuses including the main, are good.
What kinds of things should I do to check the brand new alternator I put on once I manage to get it to run?

The only lights I get when I turn the key to just on are Hatch, Brake, Door, Washer fluid, and Check Engine. The rest try to come on but are very dim. It did this yesterday after I installed the new alternator as well, but it still won't start.
