Obviously, I have no life. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png Working on my FC on a Friday night. I ordered a set of Bead Blasted pedals from Sled Driver on Monday, they got here yesterday. I wish all my online purchases went that well. Anyway, these things rock. They look great and I can heel-toe a bit easier now too. Check em out.

speaking of pedals... when I got my car the previous owner had installed a pedal cover on the gas pedal, but he used about 1.5" long self tapping wood screws to mount it. One day leaving a light I floored it and the pedal stuck to the carpet, the screw had tapped itself in, I almost rear ended a truck ended up pushing in the clutch and letting it peg the rev limiter while prying the pedal off the floor with combat boots.
after discovering the screws, I removed the pedal cover and then learned it was previously keeping the pedal from obtaining WOT ! hah, the car was faster without the 'performance' pedal cover. just a fun story thought i'd share, bored at work. note: I do not think the S4 NA has a rev limiter, but it hit some kind of limit, maybe ran out of fuel, i'm not sure but something happened... it didnt effect the car though, ran fine afterwards. |
damn peng

my mom got me mine at autozone for like $20, and they look good and fit perfect

U have a gauge too. How many horsepower is that worth? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

I guess these suckas never have used these pedals. They're all missing out. These things The stock ones suck. I never gave pedals any thought before but I got these and thats all changed. The Sparco, Razo, Momo, APC pedals are for looks. These pedals do not let your feet slip. The surface on them is like sandpaper. They're rough, but they have yet to get scuffed up, dirty and lose their grip. A little bit of moisture and my foot would slip off of the stock pedals. With the Sled Driver pedals I can have wet shoes while autocrossing (it rains over here about 6 months of the years) and get ZERO slippage. Before my feet would always slip. Especially off of the dead pedal. Now I don't have to worry about that ever. To me, that's worth it. If they look decent then all the better. It's function over form for me.
|
I agree! It's been raining ever since I put them on. I thought they would be slippery, but to my pleasant surprise they are not. Plus the formation of gas pedal is more better than OEM.

Not having my feet slip is important to me. At autoX I put the car in 2nd and keep it there. The local tracks are setup in a way that 90% I don't have to downshift ever and occasionally go into 3rd. I use the dead pepal to plant my tail into the seat and then I go for it. The stock plastic junk let me slip. No fun. These pedals from Sled Driver grip more the harder I push on them.
Too bad that production has ceased. These things do let you drive faster with more confidence on a course. Heel-toe blips are almost too easy now. I never thought that I could go on and on about pedals, but they are that good. Like I said before, I'm glad I got mine. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png |
