my car is building up a lot of pressure in the radiator and the hoses. if i take the cap off in he morning and watch the coolant there is no bubbles but after i drive it for a bit and then try to take he cap off it shoots coolant everywhere any one know what is wrong

Well, the coolant system is supposed to build up pressure.... thats just how it works, it needs to have pressure to pump the coolant thru the radiator and engine. If you mean that there's too much pressure, see if theres any coolant running into the overflow tank (right in front of the radiator, theres a visible hose leading to it), the hose might be clogged, and check (aka, try getting a new one)the radiator cap (aka, try getting a new one), maybe its not releasing the excess pressure.



are you opening the cap before the engine has cooled down, cause if so, stuff expands when it gets hot, and there will be residual pressure. Doing this is also a sure-fire way of burning yourself. can you actually measure the operating pressure, and see if its above normal?

it is filling my overflow, and leakn out of that., and my car is not over heatng

well if its not overheating then you shouldnt have any sort of blockage in the lines... id say try getting a new rad cap, it may be releasing pressure (and fluid) too early. I doubt its the pump... when those begin to die they normally provide less pressure, not more.

I had this happen to me(and it did not smoke for some reason). It ended up being that two of my inner coolat seal walls where blown away. To check if its a blown seal or seal wall pull your egi fuse along with you belt and take off you rad cap fill it to the top and turn it over if it starts to flow out bad you should start saving
