These are my shocks i got from EBAY. Brand new, beautiful man . I got this for $355 shipped https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif

They discontinued the Eibach Springs. I called Mazdatrix they have one and Tirerack.com, anyone else know where they have them for cheaper.

Does anyone know if eibach is coming out with a new line of springs for FCs?

damn, i forgot that the rears are 8-way adjustable. good job man, you will notice a better ride. i know I did on my old FC with just the front struts done.

have you looked into h&r springs, I know they make springs for FD's, but try finding some for FC's, they may have them.

i would like to get progressive type springs for the harsh city driving over here. I looked at the typical ones. Ive heard so much good news about people with KYB and Eibachs.

What other ones can i use that are progressive?

Jason

rowtareh 07-26-2005 11:56 PM

I am not sure what you mean by progressive springs. Never heard that before. I see that you want something tolerable for the city, and having springs that lower the car dramatically would not be much fun.

Ooooh, jack the car up 6 inches. YO!!

I dont quite understand it either. like racing beat are Linear , so i beleive they give the same rebound for any load applied. Progressive have a range and for every level they rebound differently. The more u hit something the harder the spring will get. If someone can clear this up it would be great

Besides the Eibach what other springs are good to use with KYB

Baldy 07-27-2005 07:52 AM

I've read that Racing Beat springs are comparable to the Eibachs (unless they're actually the same?).

rx7man629 07-27-2005 09:42 AM

What about tein springs? Ive heard that the racingbeat springs are very good, as with all of thier products.

DareBee 07-27-2005 11:21 AM

The RB springs supposedly ARE Eiback units and yes they are progressive. They have about 1.5 coils of travel at a softer rate.

I believe MazdaTrix sells those springs as well - give them a try.

Cheers! 07-27-2005 11:59 AM

Racing beat are not progressive.

I know someone who has a set that has sat brand new for teh past 10 years in his closet. he just sold his mint 10AE too...

Look up ROTRY PWR on rx7club.com He is in toronto... not sure if he want to ship it or not.

phinsup 07-27-2005 12:13 PM

B&G and Suspension Techniques are both progressive and probably of equal quality. I've sold a lot of the STs and always had good feedback.

phinsup 07-27-2005 12:14 PM

Racing Beat springs are not progressive.

phinsup 07-27-2005 12:16 PM

Progressive spring has a variable rate, the greater compressed, the greater the effective spring rate. With a progressive spring you can accomplish 2 things, a higher overall spring rate without sacrificing ride. Linear springs will make it ride like a go cart, I had the RB's on my gsl-se and they ride very stiff.

ROTARYROCKET7 07-27-2005 07:24 PM

yeah i know RB are not linear. I def need progressive springs. Ive heard of ST for a while but dont know of anyone that has used them or any comments about them good or bad

intrax, suspension techniques, Ground control, Racing beat, Try to get eibachs? any others i should look into. WHich one is teh best for city driving

phinsup 07-27-2005 09:37 PM

I am not all that impressed with the intrax. If you can't find someone who will give you a good deal on the ST's let me know and I will get them for you.

Just selling Nopistons stuff from now on, too many headaches from the other stuff and not enough profit to make the headaches worthwhile.

I can still get stuff, you just need to contact me directly and I will see what I can do.

Cheers! 07-28-2005 08:35 AM

Your best bet if you aren't willing to do corner weigthing and all that jazz is to buy the racing beat suspension handling kit, which includes new sway bars and new springs.

coldfire 07-28-2005 02:20 PM

pick up some ground control coilovers, you already have the shocks and you purchase the springs with the coilovers, whatever rate you want https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

phinsup 07-28-2005 02:24 PM

If you do that make sure you get the camber plates.

ROTARYROCKET7 07-28-2005 03:24 PM

i ordered eibach springs from tirerack. $266 shipped. ima give this combo a try since i hear many people are runnning them.

Any suggestons on what levels you adjust them too?

Cheers! 07-28-2005 07:17 PM

camber plates are almost 300 bucks after you factor in shipping. The whole setup minus shocks is around 600 USD I think

Then you need to corner weight the thing. expect another 100 to 150 to do corner weight and alignment.

Not exactly cheap.

I had that setup for a couple years. I left the shock settings to 2 front/4 rear most of the time. The roads around me suck by the way

f progressive springs, get hard springs and learn to live with it.

thats how we do.

CKDezines 05-22-2006 04:31 AM

So how did the eibach KYB combo work out? How does the car ride, handle, etc? I am looking for springs and shocks for a 91 vert and I am trying to pick a good combo. If anyone has any suggestions, I al lookign to run Illumina's and Eibachs or Tein Springs.

Tomoya 05-22-2006 05:45 AM

well currently i ride on tien HA's coilovers... very stiff and sounds like my car is gonna break into two pieces lol... switching them back to stocks until i save money for a city drivable suspension.

I was also looking for KYB AGX's with EIBACH Spring. Lots of good things i hear about those two combos. Just need a cheap source as my financial situation is pretty tight at this moment. Besides.... i need to fix up on more important things before I go do those.

toplessFC3Sman 05-23-2006 07:01 PM

yea, im in the same boat, looking for springs/shocks for my 88 vert. I looked into the RB spring/antiroll kit, but what confused me was that the RB's rear rate was less than stock, while the front was greater. For the vert, which is heavier in back, wouldnt you want a greater rear rate (unless you want it to understeer like a mo-fo). Is there any difference between the suspensions for a vert and the coupes? AKA will springs and shocks for a coupe fit on vert?

Let us know how the kyb's and eibachs work for you, im gonna be wanting to throw on some new suspension parts soon, she already is starting to need shocks.
