I have found some new KYB AGX shocks and struts for 399.00 shipped. Does anybody body have anything good or bad to say about these?
Thanx |
I run them, they are decent for the price
|
that's what i use, and they work good for me. i haven't really messed aroud with tuning them, right now they are on the middle setting (#2 front, #4 rear). when i did them, i also upgraded my springs to the racing beat set.
good shocks for the price, much cheaper than the tokico illumina sets. i'd recommend them. |
hey order those from the nopistons store. its worth the extra $46 to support the site
|
when i first got them out of the box I pushed and pulled on them, adjusting the different settings and there is definatley a huge different from 1 to 4. 1 you can compress and expand, but it takes some force, 2 is almost impossible to push, but you can do it, and 4 is a brick.
i guess that means it does what it says it does? They've worked well for me. |
im planning on going with those same shocks as soon as i get the more important stuff done, although i might just get the stock mazda ones
|
i actually want to (when i can afford it) do the full kyb agx suspension setup, when i can afford it. for the price, it seems to be my best bet, and i'll be able to buy it straight from here. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I am running KYB AGX's up front and they work like a champ considering my rear struts are the factory ones that probably come off the assembly line, maybe not. It handles 10 times better. I can't wait for the money to do the rear struts, and do a H&R spring setup. Suspension **** first, and new brakes and rotors so I can STOP! Heh.
Yeah, go with KYB AGX's, they are good for the price. Plus they give you cool stickers and the little adjustable screwdrivers. And they come in red. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |

i guess that means it does what it says it does? They've worked well for me. And another thing I forgot to mention. They are adjustable, oh yes, and another. The rear struts for the KYB's are 8 way adjustable. I have only messed around with 2 different settings. The first and second setting. No difference. I can take turns going 65 now, instead of going 40 like I use to. And hairpin turns, and I mean ******* hairpins, I can take 45 instead of having to go 20. Just my experiences. |
I use them in my TII for Autocrossing ( 2 on front 1 in rear) and Road Course (4 in front 6 in rear) they are some nice shocks that will serve you well.
If there are better shocks out there (which I hear there are) I am amazed I cannot imagine it being better than this. |
