Is this normal now? People are going hog wild over T2's it seems. This car has 50 bids and is over $6k already with 7 days left. I know they are hard to find in nice shape but I didn't realize how much interest there was. I wonder if its because of the drift fetish. You guys could make a killing on ebay.

88 T2

The private party value of this car in excellent condition with 98k is $2950 according to kbb.

FikseRxSeven 04-11-2004 09:36 AM

that auction is rigged

What!

Rob x-7 04-11-2004 10:50 AM

that car is also in 90% better condition then most other TIIs, let

alone 88 TIIs, its one owner as well, with leather.

Hard to say if its worth that much money, but when you think about

the cars people get cheaper and how much work they end up needing

including rust, interior, etc.. then it makes you wonder.

I always say you pay now or you pay later.

j9fd3s 04-11-2004 11:42 AM

that looks like a nice car

1Revvin7 04-11-2004 11:45 AM

I have noticed the value of t2s have risen a ton.

dildo in my ass!

4RotorRocket 04-11-2004 05:59 PM

that's good then when it comes time to sell (never!) we can sell for a high price

Fluid Dynamics 04-11-2004 06:16 PM

Sell now before the market bubble pops! Don't be like those fools still holding tech stocks after the telecom crash!

ColinRX7 04-11-2004 06:39 PM

A friend of mine just tried to sell his TII, couldn't get much more than 4800 CDN for it, it was for sale for a LONG time.

ColinRX7 04-11-2004 06:42 PM

AND if the market value is going up so much for TIIs then why didn't FrestyleFC3S' S5 TII sell immediately? Buy it now price of $7K, and it has no longer in production Watanabe wheels, not to mention a ported and modded 13BT by ITO and a ******* HALTEC!!!

they go for like 4 grand over here

Rob x-7 04-12-2004 08:10 AM

its like saying FDs go up in value and are so precious, meanwhile

it takes forever for people to sell them

gazellis 04-12-2004 08:23 AM

On this particular car, I don't really believe what is said about the HP. Will an HKS installed really jump the horsepower up to over 300 at the rear wheels? Did I miss something? And at only 7 pounds boost? And the statement that the Hks is unconnected 99% of the time because the "car is plenty fast without it" makes no sense to me. Sounds very fishy. Why would you not want to keep it connected?

Also the fact that it was rebuilt at 78K could be a problem at least to me. That says to me that the car has been run very hard and may be abused. I know, I know, these cars get rebuilt at different times for a lot of different reasons but for something that is so stock, I think it has been abused.

I know the Tii usually needs rebuilding sooner than an N/A but.....

yeah, the engine bay looked completely stock, i saw no "2 gauges" on teh interior anywhere, and he didn't say anything about the type of exhaust upgrade on the car.

i dont think 300 hp on 7 psi with stock or "Vato-zone" exhaust upgrades is possible. if it was, mazda would have done it in the first place.

ColinRX7 04-12-2004 10:55 AM

I didn't even read it!

I thought it was some old dude selling it, it looks like it's in mint stock shape.

I guess it's some kid talkin' smack?

gazellis 04-12-2004 11:05 AM

Actually there are two gauges in the lid of the ashtray right behind the shifter but still, I think the BS is a little deep in the description of this car.

maybe the guy's HP claims are estimates, who cares anyhow- its not

like any of us will buy it, lol

he also says it has a black interior, that thing sure looks grey to me

rowtareh 04-12-2004 04:58 PM

Wow. That thing is really clean. From just that one picture I have seen.

Turbo II 04-12-2004 05:02 PM

me and carlos were just talking abou this the other day. cause someone hit him up at the gas station asking if he was selling his.

RONIN FC 04-12-2004 06:22 PM

The owner states he used synthetic oil since new. That could be the cause for the early rebuild.

I think that car may have suffered a theft, cause that is not the original steering wheel, the whole column has prolly been swapped

ColinRX7 04-12-2004 07:17 PM

Maybe he just went out and bought an S5 TII steering wheel?

Blink 04-12-2004 07:58 PM

It all matters about being at the right place, at the right time, with the right things done. It just takes 1 buyer who's willing to dish out the cash.

Cheers! 04-12-2004 08:06 PM

the market tanked for FCs in toronto. They were really really hot 1.5 years ago. I bought my 2 years ago. I couldn't turned a profit on my S5TII everyone was wanting one, but i didn't sell, and now i fi sell there is no way i could even get back what i paid for.

thats the same steering wheel that came stock in 1988

Jims5543 04-12-2004 09:02 PM

I paid $7500 for my TII 3 years ago. It had 53K miles and was spotless. It was bone stock except for a set of custom rims that were tha same size as stock with stock size tires.

The interior was perfect and is still very clean. The car was very well taken care of an garaged. I am the second owner of it.

Was it worth $7500?? No but I let my emotions get the best of me. It was the cleanest TII I had ever seen and I was not letting it pass by. I tried like hell the chew the guy down but he knew what he had and wasn't budging and I wasnt willing to take a chance and let someone else scoop it up. So $7500 it was.

People sell RX-7's to cheap.... I'm telling you there isn't alot left to buy anymore, so if your selling get what its worth at least.... Look at the MR2's and Supra's, they go for huge money...

buy mine! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Then I guess they decided to give only the convertibles the best wheel

in the parts bin? That wheel is stock on S4 verts
