1.) The bracket arount the stock s5 AFM, do you need it? It kinda looks like its holding the AFM together but i'm not sure.
2.) What is the AFM thing considered, is it an AFM or MAF or something else? 3.) Even on a custom 3 inch TID setup it seems like the increase to 3 inches and then the reducement to 2.5 would cause more turbulence than running a 2.5 setup. 4.) For those of you with standalones and just run an open turbo. Even though its a lot more free flowing wouldnt it be better to run some sort of intake piping just to draw air from a cooler source than the engine bay? Thanks. |
1. that just holds it in place
2. yes it is an Air Flow Meter 3.yes it would be better to run a filter with a cold air duct up to up it. if u look at you inteke taemps u ill see that they are drmatically lower even witha huge fmic |
3. the afm is 3" and the turbo is 2.5 so you have to chage diameter somewhere. lol i tried a 2" tid on my t2 the low end was amazing, but it didnt go over 4k rpms
