I'm look for a place to put the temp sensor. On my old s4 i put it on the top elbow that connects to the rad hose but on this one it's plastic. Anybody find a clever way to install the sensor?

Thanks

Oh, so technically I could buy a thick metal pipe and thread it for the sensor and run it in the top rad hose?

yeah, thats what i did

Or drill and tap into the water pump housing, next to stock sensor. I have mine on the old turbo inlet coolant passage and it doesn't work well there, I'm going to drill and tap. Is cheaper but the pipe sounds good to buy too.

PS Does the pipe come predrilled with a 1/8 npt tread or something else?

Of course the pipe you and i need is out of stock. I think we need the 38mm pipe.

i had the idea of having a tee fitting at the very beginning of the heater hose, although i don't know if that spot would be accurate enough...

yeah we need the 38mm one. i was thinking of having some made

I took the waterpump housing off and had it tapped.
