I did a search first but didn't find anything to help. I have some new gauges that I would like to install. I have a water temp, oil temp, and oil pressure gauge.

My problem is, I am lousy with stuff like this. I read the one page pamphlet that they call instructions and don't understand where to hook certain things up. Does anyone know of a website with pictures to show me where to hook these things up? Or can you help me here?

On the oil pressure unit, it says to install the sender in a pressure port of appropriate type. Where would this be?

Also, where do you connect to the ignition switch? It says to connect wire from ignition switch to ignition terminal on the back of the gauge.

Is there a way to install the water temp sensor without losing the stock gauge in the dash? Where does this sender get installed? And last can the oil temp sensor be installed down in the oil pan in place of the stock sensor so a new hole does not have to be made in the oil pan? The stock sensor only powers a light, not a gauge so I don't care if I lose that.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

The easiest thing for your oil temp and pressure gauges would be to get either the RB adapter plate or the FC3S.org oil pedestal. Both of these fit right under the oil filter housing and have holes tapped for the senders already.

Thanks for that information. I ordered the pedestal from fc3s.org.

When you install the senders in the pedestal unit, do the threads have to be sealed with anything?

you might want to put a little something on there, especially if you're using brass senders

btw the oil temp sensor in the oil pan is only used for the sub-zero cold start assist. you can lose it or reuse it for something else.

water temp needs to be tapped into the water pump, thermostat housing, or use a gauge that comes with the right size metric threads.

Some teflon sealant on the threads is needed.

something else about the fc3s pedestal, you'll have to remove the studs carefully from the stock pedestal and thread them into the fc3s one. Make sure you put them in straight or you'll have a hard time getting it to seal right... and make sure the o-rings supplied with the pedestal are lined up right too, don't want any leaks.
